Hijack:

MMO Myst.

With an interesting twist: It's got a single player storyline in conjunction to the persistant world. Neat. (assuming it works of course)

And from the looks of it, it's no longer a slide show.

What is it about the movie that you are looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to some amazing special effects and little more. After the first movie I dont think there's a whole lot they can do with the plot that could seem reasonable in my opinion. I imagine there is going to be a whole helluva lot of stupid tech references when situations call for it - an example would be when they try to explain why Neo can't just telefrag every agent. "I can't catch their signals, they must be using a firewall!" Comedy gold!

I'm like a quote out of context...

Or maybe, since the matrix is self aware, it's adapted itself to not allow that to happen anymore.

I'm going to guess that's how those ghosty thingies are designed.

More than anything, I'm looking forward to see how the title is explained.  Obviously, Revolutions is pretty obvious, but I want to see how that revolution unfolds.  Likewise Reloaded.  I'm expecting that the title is meaning more than an attempt to use hip techno-y slang to describe "sequel."  Perhaps going to what Warren described, the Matrix "reloading" to combat the specific threat of Neo and his band of merry smellies from information gathered about them and their abilities.

Perhaps altering the rules that Neo was able to "break" in the first film.

Our initial assessment is that they will all die.

Jus' outta interest: You ever go to the cinema? Or is it just this particular movie that doesn't appeal? Did you not like the first one? Did you see the first one?

Marsh-

I don't do the movie much because, quite honestly, I had an ex-gf who burned the love of going to the movies out of me. EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND was a movie, usually her choice, ususally with Christian Slater or some other master thespian. I was just trying to get in her pants, so what do I know? As far as today's films, I like plot moreso than eye candy. I have a friend who goes to see movies like XXX for the explosions. I can do without.

As I have stated before, my dislike for Keanu Reeves is why I avoided the first one. I'm sure it's interesting and all, and I know a lot of you guys liked it, so more power to you, but.....eh, I'll pass. I'm not totally ignorant of it or the story, so I don't feel culturally illiterate since I haven't seen it, either.

<xterm> The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I'm looking for Trinity being sexy/kickass, Morpheus being cool/kickass, good FX/action in general, and I like the look of the things.  That slightly green tinted world with all the people running around in leather appeals to me, I can't deny it.  The plot isn't original, but it's the first set of movies that have done anything with the notion of cyberspace that wasn't completely awful.

Of course, this is only a minor technicality, as even when "properly elected" into office, a politician has as much chance of not having gotten there via corrupt means as Dubya has of spelling racecar backwards.  --UncleJeet
