Note from Verant/Lucas to public:  We've learned nothing.
February 10th 2003, 10:54 CET by Matt Perkins

We've already said you won't be able to start as Jedi, but have to build up an uber character to actually release the ability to create a Jedi.

We've already mentioned that you will be able to have VERY few characters per server.

We've already stated that you won't be able to recreate your favorite Star Wars characters.

Now this.

Oh yeah, and we'll still run the game with our heads up asses

I'm surprised Infogrames isn't working on a D&D (Forgotten Realms) MMORPG already. Hell, I'm surprised noone (*cough Sierra cough*) didn't make a Middle-Earth MMORPG to ride on the coattails of the Lord of the Rings movies.

I voted yes just to see all the new bitchings.

This kind of early release behavior isn't ever going to change as long as there is money to be made. THE DEVELOPERS OWE YOU NOTHING!
And even then, nobody is forcing you to play it. Don't like how it is now? Just wait a year.

People don't have patience anymore.

#17 one person?

Bush and Rumsfeld are calling France and Germany 'old europe'. And Belgium will be added soon. The US has seriously hurt their relationship with these countries, and with Europe. Now they continue to hurt relationships between countries inside europe.

Why they would want war is beyond me. Most countries probably support the US because they are afraid, and if things should get worse, they probably think they'll be better off on the side of the US, like the Netherlands for example, who are afraid that one bomb on their dikes is enough to flood the entire country.

The US are hypocrits. It's ok for them to own all sorts of sophisticated and dangerous weapons, including nukes, but not for Iraq? Or NKorea? Or any other country who wants to have them and doesn't always agree with the US? It's ok for other countries to fear the US because of their weapons and power, but it's not ok for the US to fear other countries?

Like Microsoft in the software biz, the US is just doing everything they can to remain the most powerful country on earth.

I know Americans hate when it's dragged up (and I forgot to mention it when someone asked me to name a country that has killed hundreds of thousands of civilians during war time) but the US is still the only nation on earth that has used atomic/nuclear weapons aggressively (ie, for reasons other than testing).

Stable or not, he is not doing anything wrong at the moment. If he attacks a country again, then you have the right to sto him. But not now while he isn't doing anything wrong. Just because he has once proven to do bad things does not give you the right to invade his country now. In that case there are many other countries much closer to the US, like Cuba, that need attention.
Clearly there are other reasons behind all this crap the US is trying to sell to the world. Why the fuck don't they do something about NKorea, who unlike Saddam, is 6 months away from building a nuke? Isn't that cause from much greater concern? And isn't Kim considered at least equally as nuts as Saddam?

A lot of things in the US reasoning do not compute. Sadly only few countries have the balls to say it doesn't.

A chimp whos grandfather lost his bank for supporting the nazis, woowooo.

Shouldnt the Cold War really be considered World War 3 ? Many died over it, several large scale conflicts that involved large portions of the world, albeit it in limited skirmishes and coming within a hairs breadth of nuclear game over several times.

Shouldnt this then be World War Four ?

and is anyone praying that itll be delayed with the moniker `When its done`

back to the beef, and players who manage to become `jedi` -have- to be `lightside` jedi -why- exactly ?  If someones playing a bounty hunter, oh lets say along the lines of Dengar or Bossk or IG88 why would they suddenly become all pure n nice lightsiders if they someone became jedi?

dont confuse Dark Jedi with Sith, whilst there may only be 2 Sith at any given time, there doesnt appear to be any stricture on the number of Dark Jedi around, even as force wilders.

Trust me, Im a professional.

It's quite easy to see why there is so much friction from european countries against the US.

Situation A) Weapon inspectors find weapons. US says "See! They have weapons and therefore violated the resolution!", US attacks.
Situation B) Weapon inspectors don't find weapons, US says "See! They hid the weapons and therefore violated the resolution!", US attacks.

It has been a lose-lose situation for Iraq from the beginning.

#36 isn't that what Joker was saying? The US is going to attack regardless of what happens. That is their main goal. Weapons inspection was just bullshit around it. They just want Saddam away from there so they can (like Microsoft in the software biz) 'buy' Iraq, put a puppet in control and have complete control over the country and its resources.

The mere fact that from the beginning they continued to deploy troops, hardware etc. to the gulf is proof enough that they had the intention all along. You don't spend billions of dollars to get everything in place to later say "oh..yeah, they dont have WMD's, let's go home".
They won't accept that defeat, they'll attack even if they have to cause lots of problems for many other countries, as we are now seeing is happening.
