Sure is!  Hey did you ever hear about that lady who got burned and then, get this; she sued them!  Oh man when I heard that I was like holy shit I don't know what to think they actually let her sue them because of her own stupidity and there's no way that should happen in this...

Someone bring Andy back to make a special commemorative post. Remember when PC briefly allowed the displaying of images (and how obscenely abused that was)? Suddenly Andy was posting a topic feautring pics of a topless model instead of harangues about 3D Realms. Who'd a-thunk it?

However, this is not really the 500th thread.  There were quite a few threads in the long lost dark days of PC 1.0-3.0.

Since this thread isn't about much at all, I'd just like to chime in and say thanks to whoever it was in an earlier that talked about that foodtv show "Good Eats". I was already getting into cooking, but this show cinched it. I really like how he explains the reasoning and science behind the different ingredients and procedures rather than just spitting out one recipe after another.

Also, thanks to Chris, I've been wearing out the Alpha Conspiracy album Cipher. I always liked his music in Unreal along with Alexander Brandon's stuff (who's now doing the music Deus Ex 2 and Thief 3).

I thought that team was working on powerplay, or was it Steam, or maybe they've moved onto the mod-o-matic by now.

Since there's nothing else of interest here, I know a lot of you fruits are into ambient music and stuff, and my fruit roommate wanted some suggestions on music he can play while studying without becoming overtly distracted. If you monkeys can fire off a few artists or album titles, I'm sure he'd be appreciative... or at least, he'd stop whining at me.

If he wants something extremely mellow, I'd suggest the Icelandic band Sigur Ros.  I wouldn't really call them 'ambient', but they are rather relaxing and non-distracting unless you allow it to be.
