It's got adware that you can apparently opt out of, but it sound suspect.

I don't see why it's suspect - hacker software that lies about it's opt out feature doesn't tend to stay around.

What the hell is the deal with emo anyhow? I've never heard any of it, but could it possibly be more annoying than ska?

I will hear no ill will against ska.  Sure, some ska is complete and total crap, but a fair amount of it is good loving.  Then again, I guess that depends on your definition of ska...  Long Beach Double All Stars is probably the closest thing I listen to that might qualify.

Emo is just whiny teenagers.  What could possibly be more annoying than that?

I didn't know whiny teenagers needed a new labely other than whiny, angsty teens. That's why I don't get emo.

Well, if you want to get all technical on me (which apparently you do!) emo is whiny teenagers singing.  So there's the distinction.

Late Clask was ska-ish. And yes, ska does suck.

It would only make you weep.

On a different note, i've been totally into Mulatu Astatke recently (yeah, I know, once again I come with a name that seems terrible).  It's ethiopean jazz from the 60's & 70's, and everything a good fusion of jazz, psy-rock and middle east/african music should be.
You should be able to find some of his stuff on soulseek etc, "yegelle tezeta" is a nice song for example, but his full albums aren't hard to find.
