I played the CoD2 demo yesterday. It was fucking hard. And I'm getting tired of having to bind keys for THREE FUCKING WAYS TO CHANGE YOUR STANCE.
Though it being so hard may have been caused by the stupid stance control scheme and the fact that you can't run while aiming down the sight and it doesn't jump back to normal aiming either when you need to run like hell from a german grenade.

Xbox 360 = Xbox for $75 brand new = I will be buying an Xbox this year! Woo!

Here are the only games worth getting an Xbox for:
Ninja Gaiden (I am counting Black)
Knights of the Old Republic I & II
Fable
Crimson Skies
Fuck Halo it's an overrated piece of garbage...oh wait that's not a game.

Oh wait lemme clarify....Halo is great if you don't own or have never played a computer FPS, it's grand. But if you have played Half Life of Unreal Torunament then...well...Halo is weak. Fun multiplayer, passable co-op, useless and weak single player. This saved the Xbox? Wow PC gaming is so not mainstream then because a lot of people have had no experience with decent shooters. Sorry, don't hate Xbox, just pity Halo fans.

Lumines is a good game. If I can get a continuous supply of new skins, like I think I can, then life will be good.

Ninja Gaiden was good, black doesn't seem to be a change... at all.

all kotors were boring, fable was garbage, crinsom skies was awesome (gonna pick up a copy for like 10 dollars canadian), and, yes, Halo is garbage.

...but you forgot psychonauts and how awesome that game was, and it's only worth playing on the XBOX as there is far too much slow down on the PS2 version.

If the two versions of psychonauts were coffee, the Xbox version would be a fine european coffee, and the ps2 version would be the same coffee, with a big dollop of shit in it.

There are only a few games that i'm looking forward too.  Most of it DS games.
Mario Kart DS & Animal Crossing DS come to mind, but also new super mario brothers (although the date releasedate isn't set I think).

Black & white 2 is something that I might give a try, but after being fooled into pre-ordering the first one and finding out what a terrible mess the (localised in dutch (yuk!) ) version was I think i'll wait to see what other people say about it.  Half Life: Aftermath is a direct-buy.  Since Half Life 2 was the last PC game that I played/enjoyed, and I think i'm going to give ultimate Spidermand (cube) a rental.

Being a racist, I ocassionally type in random racial word searches in order to find other organised racists.

Now, I thought I was reaching when I typed in Anti-Dutch Movement...
...but I struck Gold.

Fun is fun... but who could hate the dutch when there are so many more races out there to harsh on?
Damn squareheaded Norweigians.

Didn't most agree?  There are some cool pc games coming, some cool DS games coming and PSP games are nowhere to be seen on the horizon.

Also, zelda is delayed - so upcoming gamecube games are nihil.

I am now looking forward to Oblivion, thanks to that trailer. Though I don't know why I'm looking forward to it because there's not a chance in hell that my computer could ever run it. I don't expect to get a 360 any time soon as I only recently got an Xbox; there's plenty of games for me to catch up on from the bargain bin.

Jibble,

Nope, Miyamoto reconfirmed recently that zelda will be released on the gamecube.  Personally I do think that it will be made in such a way that it looks better (or at least can benefit) from the extra power of the revolution - in order to get all the zelda fans to buy a revolution.

Oh yeah, Gamecube Zelda, and to a lesser extent Oblivion, just because I'm not sure if I'll buy an Xbox 360 soon.

Are you refering to a game that's not safe for work, or is this just a typo and you mean a new Need for Speed game?

I think I'm going to buy Quake 4. More out of tradition for the series and hope that it ushers in the same unified multiplayer base that Quake 2 enjoyed at its height, though that's really more of a dream. If The Crap is this intent on getting it, it may have some good multiplayer battles in store, assuming someone gets a server up.

I just bought We Love Katamari and Vincent bought Indigo Prophecy, so I'll play both of those for the moment.

In the long term, my list is really only for Bioshock, Quake Wars, Spore and whatever Half-Life 2 stuff is in the pipe, including the expansion coming out this winter. No MMO's that are close that have my interest except for some curiosity at how the Star Trek MMO will work. Maybe Blizzard will get me back into WoW again, though.

I'm not keen on buying an X-Box 360 right now unless they surprise me and it can be hacked or play DiVX/XViD natively, making it the most useful thing I can think of. The Revolution and PS3 aren't close enough, nor have they given enough information for me to consider either of them as a possible purchase.

I'm thinking of getting a 360 for the media stuff alone. It would be totally rad to drop neon on my wall and play my music collection without having to hook up my mp3 player.

bago, save yourself $250 and just buy a used Xbox when the 360 comes out, then mod it. I'm willing to bet that XBMC is way better than the Media Center Extender bullshit that's going to come with the 360.
